Really great quality tea and unique options with a higher end price point Everything I've tried I have really loved I don't love the price So this wouldn't be my go to boba shop for that reason But if I wanted a really good treat and I was in the area I'd come here There is space inside to chill It's right next to a bunch of apartments

Y-Tea is my wife's favorite boba spot in Ashburn, Virginia! As avid boba drinkers we usually fall into two craving categories: authentic and American classic. Y-Tea's taro milk tea quenched our hankering for some classic sugary tea with fresh bubbles. The flavor was incredibly rich, and it honestly tasted like a bowl of cereal with every sip. I'm not super into the boba pearls, but these were spot on. We got 50% sugar but any level is fine. Highly recommend whenever you're in Ashburn!

Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything other than a normal bubble tea. There is something about this place that tastes less artificial. The owner was polite and patient, and I like the option for choosing your sugar level. It was refreshing and delightful as all bubble teas should be and made my afternoon more enjoyable!

TL;DR: super cute and family owned boba shop with fresh ingredients! And FREE drink on your birthday! The interior of this place is super open and has seating around the edges/walls. Their decor is adorable and the staff is so nice and friendly! I love supporting new and family owned small businesses, and was so happy with this place! The teas are all made fresh with fresh fruit (or other ingredients), and they even have their house-made fresh taro! WHAT WE GOT: ~Watermelon Jasmine Green Tea (5/5): Loved the fresh watermelon. I got 25% sweet, and honestly should have gotten at least 50% but now I know for next time. The boba was chewy and flavorful and just sweet enough. So good! ~Oreo Brule matcha tea with fresh taro (5/5): My friend who has difficulty drinking drinks, KILLED this in like 5 minutes. That's how good it was.. They have a lot of unique flavors too that I will come back to try (Thai Tea Brulé - I'm looking at you)!

Love this place! Boba was great, teas were perfectly sweet and tasty. The only thing we didn't like was the amount of ice. Both of our drinks were more than half filled with ice, which stole a bit from the amount of drinks we got haha. Otherwise, friendly staff, pleasant ambience, tasty drinks.

Hidden gem in Ashburn. I was surprised to hear this shop has been around for over a year because I've literally never seen it. It's on the back side of a shopping complex so it's hiding but it's such a great find! Came here on a whim because the kiddos wanted to try boba tea for the first time. Honestly was expecting to waste money and have unhappy customers but I was totally wrong...they LOVED it and so did the parents! The cold bobas come in regular and large sizes and both are rather large in my opinion so well worth the price tag. The staff is friendly, quick and super patient answering the 50 questions we had. Upon their recommendation we tried two slushes, strawberry with rainbow jelly (+$ for the added jelly) and lychee with crystal boba (+$ for the boba as well). They have so many options to chose from and offer hot teas as well. Both of our slushes were delicious, perfectly sweet, icy and the add-in jelly/boba was a great touch. Wish they had kid sized drinks too but otherwise we were very impressed with this place and will definitely be back!!

Stumbled upon this place randomly and was really surprised. It wasn't busy when we went and the store owner was really nice! I even asked him for a cake shop recommendation and it was great! They don't have much seating. Just one small table and a few chairs but lots of standing room. The location is a little hard to get to if you aren't looking. It's nestled behind some buildings right before the houses start in the neighborhood. The parking lot is small but there was plenty of parking. Just be weary, some people can't park and made it impossible to find a spot. The Ceylon tea here is very strong. Very similar to what you would get in Hong Kong. I opted for no sugar but I can taste that if you got it like a HK style lemon tea, it would be very good. Def worth checking out if you're in the area!
